Simple Question

Where, heart, 

where would you flee,

Should fiery trials await?

To friends? To foes?

To Christ! In throes,

find Him to be your peace. 

How Lovely

How lovely Your pastures, how pleasing Your rest,
How boundless Your mercies, dear Shepherd, most Bless’d!
Though fearsome the wolves are that seek for my life,
Thou Lion of Judah will keep me from strife.
The nightfall it chills me, but You my heart keep
’Til sweetest of morn’s dews wake me from sleep.

Rest

I rest in Thee, oh God!

And though my heart doth thrill,

I will recall Thine mercies great

and, with that thought, be still.

I look to Thee, my Lord,

to help me in the end!

In shady glades and stormy gales,

Thou art Shelter, Guide, and Friend.

Mercy

What manner of love is giv'n unto me?

My sin has been cast upon Calvary!

Just is the Lord, yet I am free -

How great are the wellsprings of mercy!

What Sweeter

What sweeter joy is there

Than knowing help is near?

Than Blessed Savior calling,

Be still, for I am here!

So, praise the Lord for hardship

And thank Him for the night 

For greatest joys are found when

You're rescued from your plight.
